Amenities

Hiking & Fishing

Our courses provide warriors the opportunity to rebuild their health and experience the beauty of nature. Whether it be taking a hike through the Warriors Heart property, running the flight line to fishing in our 2 lakes, these activities allow Warriors to take themselves out of their daily obligations and focus on their recovery. There are also several benefits to fishing for those experiencing symptoms of PTSD, allowing for the mind and body to heal in a natural setting.

Nutrition

Providing food for the Warriors Heart clients and staff is a daily mission that has many great rewards. All meals are appealing, visually and aesthetically, to all clients and staff, while also providing nutritional value. This is especially important for clients as they work to become a better version of themselves and need to replace the nutrients that the body has been deprived of due to addiction.

Massage / Bodywork

Many of our Warriors are banged up. Healing the mind and body of a warrior as they go through recovery is of utmost importance. The Warriors Heart facility offers massages and bodywork to help relax and ease the pain to strengthen one’s recovery. By working on and relaxing the body, we hope to give Warriors the ability to focus on their recovery and heal the visible and invisible scars.

Yoga

Yoga has been shown to be beneficial in the treatment of those experiencing the effects of PTSD. Yoga is not meant to be the only therapy a warrior receives, but a complement that could benefit our treatment for addiction and PTSD. Relax and just breath.

Testimonials

“Warriors Heart doesn’t pretend to be perfect, but who is? They saved my life and my marriage. I will always be thankful for them and my brothers in arms, who I met here.”

Stephen P.

US Army Counterintelligence

“I came to Warriors Heart a complete mess, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Through trusting the process of the program, I was stretched beyond my comfort zone which helped me grow. The program and the family at WH helped me back to health with a complete acceptance of who I really am, a sober man with a purpose and future.”

Moe R.

US Air Force Aerospace Maintenance

“I was in a very dark place when I entered into Warriors Heart. I just wanted to end everything, and I didn’t care if my disease would kill me. But going through the program, they have opened my eyes to a more positive lifestyle, and I cannot thank them enough for it. “

FAQ

Can I call on behalf of someone else?

Yes. Most of the calls we get from families start exactly this way. You don’t need the veteran or first responder on the line. Tell us what’s going on and we’ll help you figure out the next step together.

What if they're not ready to go?

That’s one of the most common things families tell us. Call anyway. We can talk through intervention support, what to say, and how to approach the conversation without making them feel cornered. You don’t have to have it all figured out before you pick up the phone.

How long is treatment?

The minimum is 42 days. Some warriors stay longer. Your admissions counselor will walk you through what to expect from day one through discharge.

Do you take their insurance?

We accept Tricare, VA Community Care, BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, UHC, and most major plans. Call us and our admissions team will walk through their specific benefits with you.

What happens after treatment?

Warriors Heart builds an aftercare plan before your loved one leaves. That includes outpatient options, sober living if needed, and community resources wherever they’re returning to.

Make the call. We’ll take it from there.
