Program Overview

What We Are 42-day residential treatment for addiction, PTSD, and co-occurring conditions. Evidence-based care combined with programs built for warriors: jiu-jitsu, K9 training, wood and metal shops, equine therapy, art, fishing, yoga, and more. This isn’t a hospital. It’s a ranch and a refuge where warriors heal alongside warriors.

Who It’s For Warriors with active alcohol or substance use. Every veteran, active duty military, or first responder is welcome regardless of discharge status, rank, or record. We do not treat the general public. Every person in the program has served.

What It Costs Tricare and VA Community Care accepted, as well as some commercial insurance. We are an in-network VA Community Care provider. We verify your coverage before you arrive so there are no surprises.

Amenities

Hiking & Fishing

Our courses provide warriors the opportunity to rebuild their health and experience the beauty of nature. Whether it be taking a hike through the Warriors Heart property, running the flight line to fishing in our 2 lakes, these activities allow Warriors to take themselves out of their daily obligations and focus on their recovery. There are also several benefits to fishing for those experiencing symptoms of PTSD, allowing for the mind and body to heal in a natural setting.

Nutrition

Providing food for the Warriors Heart clients and staff is a daily mission that has many great rewards. All meals are appealing, visually and aesthetically, to all clients and staff, while also providing nutritional value. This is especially important for clients as they work to become a better version of themselves and need to replace the nutrients that the body has been deprived of due to addiction.

Massage / Bodywork

Many of our Warriors are banged up. Healing the mind and body of a warrior as they go through recovery is of utmost importance. The Warriors Heart facility offers massages and bodywork to help relax and ease the pain to strengthen one’s recovery. By working on and relaxing the body, we hope to give Warriors the ability to focus on their recovery and heal the visible and invisible scars.

Yoga

Yoga has been shown to be beneficial in the treatment of those experiencing the effects of PTSD. Yoga is not meant to be the only therapy a warrior receives, but a complement that could benefit our treatment for addiction and PTSD. Relax and just breath.

“I didn’t know what to expect coming here. My experience has been fantastic! My life has been fundamentally changed by Warriors Heart. My experience at Warriors Heart changed the way I think about myself and my way of life. Alcohol led me to forget who I am. Warriors Heart helped me remember who I am … a warrior.”
